BioUtah is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(6) trade association serving the life sciences community in the state of Utah. BioUTAH is comprised of manufacturers and developers of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and biotechnology products as well as government, academic and health care institutions all focused on improving health and wellness through the delivery of innovative technologies and services.
BioUTAH is passionately focused on advancing and growing Utah’s life sciences industry by assuring legislative initiatives at both the state and federal level are calculated to advance the cause of health care in Utah, burnishing the image of our industry in both the public and private sectors helping them to better appreciate the economic contributions made by our industry, providing educational forums for industry in order to bring current topics of discussion to the forefront, and encouraging collaboration and innovation amongst its members.
Utah’s life sciences industry is a key driver of the state’s economy. BioUtah is committed to growing Utah into a global life sciences leader, a recognized epicenter for innovation, health care quality, and job creation. A recent study conducted by the state of Utah revealed that from 2012 to 2017 Utah’s life sciences industry was the fastest growing of all life science clusters in the United States.
